X.3923. RE BODY FOR 6.EX.

E1/G23.9.20.

Many thanks for your memo By9/H20.9.20, concern-
ing position of side levers on -

Pre-War Cars
Post-War Cars 1 to 1000.
Chassis 6.EX (typical of chassis 1001 and onwards.

Could you kindly inform us -

(1) Why the dimension between the forward position of the brake lever and the back of the dash should vary. For the three classes of cars quoted above there are four dimensions given for the brake lever:

War
Pre-Cars F.6112 - 13.625" set in) centre of brake lever handle
13.750" set out) to dash.

Post-War Cars G.3192B - 12" ditto ditto.
(1 to 1000)

Chassis 6.EX and) F.7088 - 13.425" ditto. ditto.
1001 and onwards)
(or 13" from silhouette of brake
lever to dash as now quoted.)

(2) Why the distance lateraly between the
centre of the brake lever and the centre
of the car cannot be 21.400" as given on
N. scheme 220, instead of 21.725" as given
on F.7088 ?
