Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X7941 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re Phantom II for 10,000 Miles Trial Car. Copy to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E10.3.30 Referring to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/MJ13.2.30 and Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}2/E17.2.30, when I was at Derby on the 21st ult., it was said that you hoped that this car would be ready to start on the 10,000 miles in three weeks, i.e. the 14th inst. Would you please let me know the present position. I am anxious to see it start as soon as possible, firstly because it has on it many points which have got to be on the chassis for America and in respect of which it will, therefore, constitute a preliminary trial, but also because it will be necessary to arrange as far as is possible that these same points are on the English chassis at or about the same date.
