buffers, and set up buffer springs. The result of
this modification we are anxiously awaiting.

We think it is better not to fit irreversi-
ble steering until we have reduced the shocks to the
minimum, in which case we probably shall find that the
irreversibility may not be necessary, or can be easily
applied without distressing the gear. I hope that
the matter which you have now in hand for the steering
gear will greatly improve both the Goshawk and the
40/50.
