X.3945 - E.G.O MORGANITE BRUSHES FOR
LUCAS E.575 DYNAMO.

We are handing to Mr. Coverley and Mr. Maddox two sets each of these brushes suitable for the standard Lucas E.575 dynamo. Brushes of this material have been strongly recommended by Lucas' recently as being subject to less wear than the standard C.M.9.

Will Mr. Coverley kindly have these fitted to the Lucas E.575 dynamos on experimental cars 2EX and 1EX in place of the present standard C.M.9 brushes.

We shall also be glad if Mr. Maddox will arranged for these brushes to be run on the School Car and on one other car which is constantly running an E.575 dynamo. If a car is not available, please return one set.

We have promised Messrs. Lucas to report on the operation of these brushes, and if possible they desire to fit these brushes on all future dynamos they supply to us. Messrs. Lucas say that the only possible thing against them is that they make rather more noise on the commutator. This we think should not be sufficient to matter.

We are also running one set of these on our new Lucas lengthened E.575 machine on the bench so far with satisfaction.

EFC.
