Specification of the above Unit issued in RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} /WSC {W. S. Cassel} 1/AP.4.11.33. is revised as follows:-

All details which were removed from this Unit on the 7.11.33. and refitted to Kestrel FS. {F. Steele} 6 Cyl. No.2. as shown in specification RHC {R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} /WSC. {W. S. Cassel} 10/AP.9.11.33. have been removed from Unit No.2. and again fitted to No.1.

PASSED TO TEST 16.11.33.

E.40837 Pistons - no oil holes in Gudgeon Pin Bores ( ground to V.1372)

Valves & Fittings LOP E.40218.

Complete to the above LOP. including:-

12-Ex.12760 Exhaust Valves-solid stems- Tulip head type - in KE.965 steel-with stellite tips. 45o increased width seats. (Not salt cooled)

12-E.28651/1 Inlet Valves -S/SLV.

Cylinders LOP.E.40795 ("A" side) Spring Loaded Gland type.

1-E.39720 Cyl.Block "A" side modified to drgs.E.41509 & Ex.12629 including:-

Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 1187 Exhaust Valve Seats-N.M.C. (small bore type-thicker flange)

E.42031 Inlet Seats-N.M.C.

E.40401 Inlet Guide -BL.3.

E.41389 Exhaust Guide-BZ/PC (.437 dia. bore)
