X No. 4613 Drawing No. 7430 Origin. To prevent scuttle jellying and reduce column vibration. Part List Experimental Test Report. We are repeatedly getting complaints of jellying scuttles and wobbling 'D' steering columns. Semi isolation cures both troubles simultaneously. In our experience it actually preserves rather than damages the scuttle. Road Test Report. Run 10,000 miles on 10-G-III. 4000 miles on 15-EX. In neither case did the bodies suffer, in fact on 10-G-III it was the only thing that held the car together. In our experience it does not make body booming any worse. A Scrap and replace at all costs, including Chassis already delivered to Customers. B Scrap and replace on Chassis in Works. C Scrap present stock and replace on all Chassis not yet handed to test.
