To: "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}", DERBY. X676. SEVRES Hm{Capt. W. Hallam - Head Repairs}6/Dn28.7.33 Dear "Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}", re Holidays. --------- If "Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}" agrees that you can find me a car for the holidays, will you kindly get one of your people to ask Lomas to fix me up with a temporary driving license valid for say one month, and the necessary insurance for the same period. I understand that car insurance is now compulsory in England, and I do not possess an English driving license. As far as my present arrangements go, I expect I shall be in DERBY on the 9th August. I should like to set out from DERBY on the 10th, or at latest, early on the 11th. I should very much appreciate it if you would let me know as soon as possible, whether you can let me have a car. Yours sincerely, md. LIP See me HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
