X 2369 RE - ALUMINIUM PISTONS FOR THE CAR.

Regarding aluminium pistons for the car I understood that 7-ca. was fitted with our original type, and not the Zephyr type, and are the same as those that are doing so well in 49-GB.

Whatever they were in 7-CA, they were not at the time I had it satisfactory, I shall be glad if you will press forward the tests of the very latest designs, giving the largest possible surface and having a large number of rings.

Standardisation sheets are to be held over until design and material passed by Messrs. Hives, and Flatford, and R.{Sir Henry Royce}
