6.B.IV.

We are sending 6.B.4. into the shop to have the Bendix 2 leading shoe brakes fitted.

These are for 12" drums and are supplied complete on carrier plates. We are supplying the rear axle complete off 3.B.IV. which is fitted with the Girling equaliser and 12" drums to replace the 14" drums now fitted to 6.B.IV.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} wants the same axle shafts, wheel drivers, pinion, crown wheel and differential bearings left in 6.B.IV. to continue mileage.

We suggest you change the axle tubes on the two axles having fitted the 2 leading shoe brakes and carrier plates to the tubes off 3.B.IV.

We will couple up the rods later as there is as yet no scheme and this is an experimental arrangement.
