S.S. Oil Level Indicator.

We give herewith the correct calibration of the S.S. engine oil level indicator to suit the latest alteration in leverage given on LeC.2672.

It will be noticed that the whole of the range provided on the indicator has to be utilised to obtain the 1 1/2 gall. indication. Would BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} therefore please check that the indicator hand does not touch the small lug on the indicator (E.77064) before registering the 1 1/2 gallons; also check that there is sufficient clearance for the short end of the float arm in the casting which is bolted to the crankcase to enable the full reading to be registered.
