To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} c. to Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} X 5390 Ev{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}5/26.6.28. INDIA 3. X.615 X.5800 FRONT AND REAR WHEEL CLEARANCES. X.5390 X.5810 We send herewith N.sch.2619 shewing the front and rear wheel clearances for India 3. with 31 X 6 balloon tyres on 19" rims. As previously explained we have taken the rear wheel maximum bump from full load to be 4.400 ins. as this appears the most we could expect in actual use. We wish Derby to set out the front wing stays, using the present pressings cut short. The lamps will be carried on the wings as on N.sch.2633 for the first cars, and lamps should be fitted by Derby. We wish to use RB.{R. Bowen}71 on the first car. Derby should seethat they have a set by the time they are needed. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
