(Experimental Dept.) r6021. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.15/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 10th November, 1936. Messrs. Peto & Radford, Dagenham Dock, ESSEX. For the attention of Mr. C.G.F. Pritchett. Dear Mr. Pritchett, I have your letter of the 5th instant in which you give your remarks on the performance tests we recently carried out on the 6-HZD13-S battery as compared with the Exide 6-XCMR13 battery. Messrs. Exide now state that their battery should have given a life of at least 150 cycles, which rather makes your battery performance fall into insignificance. You will perhaps wish to still further discuss this with us in view of Messrs. Exide's claim, or perhaps you would like us to return to you the battery on which we carried out the tests so that you can examine the same. We would also like to refer you to our letter of the 24th October, in which we asked your opinion regarding battery corrosion when the polarity is reversed. We cannot trace having received a reply to this letter. Yours sincerely, | ||
