X.4064. RE AERO TYPE DYNAMO. X.1402.

We forwarded to you on the 13th instant by Mr. Hives, an aero type dynamo received at West WitteringHenry Royce's home town from Mr. Northey. We understand this dynamo is Mr. Northey's personal property and Mr. Royce would like you to take care of it, and not to run it at a destructive speed.

No particulars were sent with the machine, but I have received from the S.B.A.C. an Air Ministry publication C.I.M.750 Report on Electrical Equipment of Aeroplanes for Night Flying, being a translation of a Bulletin of the Section Technique d'Aeronautique Militaire, Paris, which seems to describe the machine in question, together with the Vibrator regulator fitted to it. Would you kindly return C.I.M.750 to me as soon as you have finished with it.

Mr. Royce would like you to have a pulley made for the dynamo, and put it through a performance test for the purpose of comparison with the performance of our car type dynamos. The vibrator regulator will, of course, be included in the performance of the dynamo.

E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer}
