Points for the Stromberg Carburettor.

1. Best possible consumption 23 MPG.
On the B 40 unit with water heated hot-spot and fixed radiator shutters this consumption is only obtainable if the outside air temperature does not fall below about 60°F.{Mr Friese}

2. This carburettor is easily adaptable to several forms of automatic choke.
The post war customer is not likely to tolerate hand controls on an expensive car. It is therefore important that the carburettor should be fundamentally suited to this form of choke.

3. This type of carburettor may be set on the road without assistance from the test bed.
This is purely a development advantage and should not count where a long view is taken.

Points for the S.U. Carburettor.

1. Present Consumption 23 MPG.
The car feels good, and drives away from a cold start at 60°F outside air with no strengthening of the mixture.
