RADIATOR CORROSION EXPERIMENTS (Cont.).

31 T50L in water. (after treatment as per Bauer-Vogel)
32 Piston Metal as 31.
33 T50L in water. (after treatment as per Guertler)
34 Piston Metal as 33.
35 T50L in water made slightly alkaline with caustic soda.
36 T50L in water made slightly alkaline with sodium carbonate.

In each of the above cases the material mentioned was accompanied by a piece of cast iron and a small group of radiator tubes, the three being wired as previously mentioned.

19 Radiator Tubes alone in water.
20 Cast Iron alone in water.
25 T50L alone in water (after treatment as per Bauer-Vogel)
26 Piston Metal as 25.
27 T50L alone in water (after treatment as per Guertler)
28 Piston Metal as 27.
29 Radiator Tubes and Cast Iron touching each other in water.
30 Radiator tubes and Cast Iron not touching but connected outside with copper wire, in 0.01% Zinc Chloride Soln.
37 T50L in water (after treating with soln. 0.5% phosphoric acid for 21 hours in the cold)
38 T50L in soln. 0.01% Phosphoric acid.

Nos. 37 & 38 were accompanied by cast iron and radiator tubes, being wired as mentioned in the heading.
