SHEET METAL ROCKER COVER.

Herewith two blueprints PL.124 shewing the above, there are 3 different designs drawn and amply described on the drawings.

We are not instructing the modification to the cylinder head until such times as we are certain to go ahead with this project, I presume you will approach the costing and tooling people. Another point is that we have reinstated a flange on the top of the head which was condemned by Wheeler some long time back.

Other investigations have been worked at, though not shewn on the drawing, it consisted of shortening the rockers and sloping the push rods, this proved a disappointment as the amount gained was small due to the limitation of the water gallery which decides the position of the push rod holes.

We have yet another move but it has the defect of making the engine wider, heavier and carry more water, the studs being pushed out to permit of a joint without any funny business.

We do not propose to design the latter yet awhile.
