The 3.3. car is progressing very well. We have got the front and rear axles fitted up again. The engine is well on the way to being built up. The fabric coupling has been changed and gear box has been re-erected. When the crankshaft bearings were dismantled, a piece of white metal fell off one of the liners on No 7 bearing. From examination the liner did not appear to have been tinned, consequently the white-metal had not adhered. We have sent this up to Paris to be re-metaled, consequently we shall be held up for a couple of days waiting for it to be returned before we can finally finish the engine up. We are making the lubrication to what I suggested in my report, and when the car is completed we will send you a chart giving you the number of drops per min. of each Bijur supplying the different units. We have had the rear wing that was damaged straightened out and re-cellulosed painted here. They have made a very good job of it. We are hoping to drop the body on to-morrow.
