S/W. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst....from PN.{Mr Northey} Copy to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Not. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} WST X6016 PN.{Mr Northey}2/WT30.9.32. NEW IMPROVED 20/25 H.P. DYNAMOS. AND THREE CHARGE SCHEME. Ref. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/KT.24.9.32. I am not sure whether you intended to indicate that you have four sets of switches and dynamos being produced to go on four cars, or whether from your memo your second par. refers to one of these four sets already having been fitted to Lp{Mr Lappin}'s car, in which case there would be of course only three sets to apply to existing 25 H.P. cars. I am however, at the moment taking it that there are four sets being produced for four cars in use. This being so, we propose to have them fitted to three cars, two of which are used in London :- 20-G.4 and GKT-22, and the third (GAU-14) in the hands of the Inspection Dept. We will advise you later as to what car the fourth dynamo may be fitted. Probably the first car which should be fitted is GAU-14, in the hands of St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} in Cheshire, who will be using it until near the Show time. I am writing him asking him to arrange to have the car with you for the purpose in ample time for the work to be done and the car to be available at the beginning of the Motor Show here in London. There may be other jobs in connection with the Servo and brakes requiring attention, in which case St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} will advise you in time. If you will let me know when the other sets will be complete, and also if they can be fitted at N. I will arrange for GKT-22 and 20-G4 to be fitted as soon as possible. PN.{Mr Northey} | ||
