To DA. {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} FROM Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} x235 Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 4/LG19.4.26. SHOCK DAMPERS. x8520 The following is a copy of a telegram we have received from R. {Sir Henry Royce} :- " CANNOT CHANGE SHOCK DAMPERS SATISFACTORILY UNLESS " BOLT CENTRES REDUCED FROM THREE INCHES TO TWO " AND THREE EIGHTS THEN ONLY ONE NEW HOLE NEEDED " WITTERING SHOULD TRY FOR ROBUST DESIGN TO THESE " REQUIREMENTS - ROYCE". We make out that he wishes to use two of the existing bolt holes which at present fix the radiator bracket for also fixing the shock damper. We hope this is not going to mean a further alteration to the pattern. Hs. {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
