Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/CTS.{C. Trot Salt - Carburation}5/JH. -2- 28th. November, 1938. We have had this occur quite a number of times, and you will agree that it is an undesirable feature. It was pointed out by Mr. Morris at the time, that there were obvious reasons why a screw motion of the jet might run into trouble with the cork glands, but it was agreed that as any such movement of the jet takes place only during the period of initial adjustment, something might be done. We shall be glad to hear from you re this matter, as we are anxious to finally clear the specific- ation of the H.4. carburetter. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
