the pump, the pump being dry. The pump is driven at 60 R.P.M. and the maximum time limit before petrol delivery is 10 secs.

For the high speed test the pumps run at 2000 R.P.M. and have to deliver a fixed minimum quantity in a given time.

For the pressure test the delivery is cut off (at the end of the high speed delivery test) and the pressure is read off a water gauge and must be between fixed limits.

Priming.

It is interesting to note that the A.C. people are now about to incorporate a hand operated lever in their pump to be used for priming purposes.
