Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X7430 DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}4/M11.5.28. 40/50 STEERING. X.7430 X.7450 With reference to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/LG, (handwritten note: X.5.28) we suggest that the length of the side steering lever shewn in columns 6 and 7 should be 9.5 and that on 14-EX should be 9.225, this latter length being that which is required for axle control. We should also be much obliged for slightly more information on the subject of the side steering tube springs. We want this in connection with a spring arrangement which we are now designing, and shall send you in the course of a few days. If the rating on 14-EX was 1400 lbs. per inch with .4 movement, are you satisfied with this? What we are doubtful about is the .4 movement. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
