Dear Mr. Elliott, I have yours of the 12th inst. and I do not think you need be anxious about the 6.BGD.11/SC giving about 76 ampere hours at the 20-hour rate. It certainly should do this after a few discharges even if it does not on the initial discharge. But anyway on the initial discharge it should give at least 70 ampere hours which I should think is more than sufficient to render any anxiety at all necessary. Our Works agree with you that the use of a vibrator control would justify using thinner plates but nevertheless, it must not be thought that such a battery as this 6.BGD.11/SC is as good as the one you are at present using on the 40/50 H.P. cars. Do we take it that you want us to send you a sample battery with cover and, if so, is it to be dry or charged? Yours sincerely, [Signature] G R Minchin [Handwritten Note] H/WST We don't expect 6.BGDete to be as good as on present car under the prime condition but to give the same life with a vibrator control. We have been hoping to get a 3rd brand. What do we have here E 14/9/33 WORKS : DAGENHAM DOCK, ESSEX. BRANCHES AT GLASGOW AND MANCHESTER.
