Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Miss REECE 1204 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ryc.1/T22.11.37. DUPLICATION OF MEMOS. Where more than 10 copies of a typed memo are required it is cheaper to use a duplicator than either a manual or an electrical typewriter. The saving amounts to as much as 2d per page where 20 copies are required. A Fordigraph duplicator in Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s Technical Office will make up to 40 copies on any paper. Masters sent up for duplication will be handled, as far as possible, within one hour of receipt. Will you please therefore, instruct your typists to use the special Fordigraph carbons when typing memos of more than 10 copies, and then to send the sheets to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s Technical office for duplication. Quarto carbons can be obtained from the Stationery Stores, and foolscap carbons will be shortly available. The carbon should be used only once and placed behind the master copy so that the carbon is impressed on the back of the master. This memo has been duplicated by the Fordigraph. When duplicating on to printedforms the registration in vertical columns is generally within 1/8" while the horizontal registration is considerably better. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Ryc. | ||
