X3599 To HOY. from B.J. Copies to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} BP Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} (Note: HOY. and Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} are struck through) GOSHAWK. With reference to ROY{Sir Henry Royce}2/AG11.4.22, at a conference with R.{Sir Henry Royce} and CJ. yesterday, R.{Sir Henry Royce} stated that he did not mind at all whether we fitted Rudge-Whitworth or Dunlop wire wheels on the Goshawk. Under these circumstances, presumably, unless W. have some special reason for fitting Dunlop and if they are more expensive, we shall fit Rudge-Whitworth. I understand R.{Sir Henry Royce} has been informed that the Dunlop Company are now prepared to supply at the same price as Rudge-Whitworth. Do you know if this is so, please? B.J. BJ11/H30.5.22.
