6058 23rd April 1937 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Wst.5/AP. Messrs Joseph Lucas Ltd., Great King Street, BIRMINGHAM 19 For the attention of Mr.W.E.Robinson. Dear Sirs, We are arranging to return to you under separate cover a faulty diaphragm disc off a Lucas high frequency horn, which was fitted to one of our Bentley chassis in France. We should like to have your views on the cause of this failure. Foot Switches Will you also please supply us with as soon as possible, three more of the special five terminal foot switches you have made up for us, as we are anxious to get these fitted to further chassis for test. Horns. We have inspected the new type WT.11.X. horns sent to us and the same are now fitted, to a car for test. Will you please arrange to send us three more pairs of these horns as soon as possible, as it is quite likely we shall want to standardise these in preference to the existing type. With regard to the W.T.22. horns, in view of the fact that these horns take considerably less current than the W.T.11., we wonder whether it is possible for the whole movement to be installed in a W.T.11.X. horn and we should like to have your views on this. continued | ||
