Re. the second half 'T' Series, which is for 100 cars. The material is now on order and the work in progress, although there are a number of parts going on to this series which have not yet been seen or tested. An Expl. car is being built up but we expect it will be about a fortnight before it is completed. The point we wish to raise is that we do not think there is any chance whatever of 'J'1. being ready to follow on 'T' Series. A further batch of material will have to be ordered early in August if we allow ourselves a month for testing the car - which is not nearly sufficient - we then only have a month for completing the designs, detailing, and building up the new parts. We consider a decision has to be made whether we shall compromise on the 'J' 1. specification and adopt certain parts such as hypoid rear axle which we can test out again on the car which is going to France representing the second half of 'T' Series. We recommend that the specification for the second half 'T' Series should carry on for 200 cars instead of 100. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
