Howard Graham Ltd.,
Tiddington Road,
Stratford-on-Avon.

For the attention of Mr. Henry.

Dear Sirs,

We regret the delay in replying to your letter of July 26th. but the writer has only recently returned to these Works.

We enclose drawing FCD.217 showing the front anchorage of the rear springs on which we have marked the angular movement of the spring. As on drawing FCD.1306 there are two alternative spring widths given, we should be very much obliged if you would prepare schemes for use with 2¼" spring both for the front anchorage and the rear shackle.

Finally we are preparing a scheme for a simplified rear shackle assembly incorporating Harris bushes. We will forward this scheme to you as soon as it is ready and should be very much obliged if you would give us your opinion as to its suitability. It should be understood that this is purely a tentative scheme and the dimensions will be governed by the bushes you design.

Yours faithfully,
FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
