Handwritten: WALKER. See me is there any justification for this criticism? By 600. S/W. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} Cx{Major Len W. Cox - Advertising Manager}16/KW/3.5.39. I should like to draw your attention to the fact that certain complaints have been levelled against the Wraith because mud gets all over the engine on dirty days, due to insufficient protection underneath. In this respect the car would appear to be less protected than the 25/30 pre-Wraith. We can fully sympathise with the owner who finds the cleanliness of his engine destroyed by mud if in other respects it has kept itself free from oil, etc. We should therefore like you to look into this, to see whether some modifications are necessary to the undershielding to keep out mud and water in this way.
