Replying to BY3/H2326., we have an instruction from R.{Sir Henry Royce} to modify the New PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I brake linkage so as to include a suspension link with circumferential friction like the 20HP.,and we are only awaiting an opportunity of doing this.

We did not know until quite recently that the Thackeray washer type scheme giving end friction indicated on N. scheme 1860. had been discarded because there was not enough friction. We believe that we could give a sufficient friction if we went over this scheme again, but in view of R's instructions we are proposing to concentrate on the 20HP. type.

Is the additional pull off spring arranged on the stepping aside lever carried off the tiebar queen post used as standard?
