MEASUREMENT OF CONDENSER CAPACITIES
BY WESTON A.C. MILLI-AMMETER
X 2512

(1)
R R.12 condenser used for packing up instrument reading.

Voltage of 221.5 gives standard packed up reading of .0150 ampere.

(susceptance = 67.7 micromhos)

p = 2Πf f = 262

K = I / p E = 67.7 / 262 microfarads.

= .258 mf.

(2)
Reading with standard B.T.H. condenser
= .0231 milli-amps.

Milli-amps for standard condenser
= .0231 - .0150
= .0081

Capacity of standard
= (.0081 / .0150) x .258 = .0081 x 17.2
= .139 mf.
