Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} ---------------- Re SpectreCodename for Phantom III Body Mounting. 30 and 31-EX. Re E.1/HP.12.2.35. We send you herewith LeC 4362 showing the proposed experimental transverse stays to the back of the body from the second cross member. We wish these to be fitted to 31-EX and it may be desired also to apply them to 30-EX to prevent transverse relative movement between the body and the chassis at the rear. In the case of 31-EX the plates on the cross rail of the body will need to be fitted before the body is mounted, and the tie bars made to suit after mounting. This scheme is only in the nature of an experiment and a final design applicable to all types of coachwork will be needed if satisfactory results are obtained. We have handed RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} a print of LeC 4362. Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Att: LeC.4362. | ||
