DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} FROM Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} r7310. O.HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/MA. 7.12.31. PII SYNCHROMESH. As requested in DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M31.10.31, we have tried out a set of 1st and 2nd gears with the overhanging bosses removed as shown on Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}460 on a Left hand gear box. Half and hours full throttle running was done at 1500 rpm on 2nd and 2000 rpm on 1st. The gears showed no tendency to come out of mesh during the test. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Grylls.
