To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EFC. EFC2/T25.8.25. X2894 [handwritten] X.2894. TUNGSTEN POINTS. We have obtained from W.H. Reynolds 1 doz. battery ignition contact points and contact point screws with tungsten contacts, in accordance with Mr. Royce's request for further experiments. For the purpose of testing these we have booked out from the Stores 1 doz. contact breaker levers which we hand you herewith. It appears that it is [strikethrough] may be [handwritten] necessary for these to be fitted with bushes previous to having the contact points fitted. Would you kindly arrange to have this poperation carried out on these levers, after which we will arrange for the C.O. to have the points fitted and welded by the same people who do the job on our platinum points. If it is more convenient to you to have the points fitted to these levers first, and subsequently to do the whole job of fitting up bushes and rubbing blocks, would you kindly return them to us and we will arrange accordingly.
