Proposal concerning end movement in the spindle on the non-steering side to control axle torsion.

I wonder whether it has ever been proposed to allow say .250 end movement in the fore and aft spindle of the anchorage on the non-steering side, so that only the damper on the steering side actually controls the axle torsionally.

Would you let us have a note on this subject please?
