1022 & 1023 To Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}2/9.1.40. re Ripplet front Bumper. We have examined the Wilmot-Breeden design in conjunction with our own scheme, and find that there is no real difference between the two. Their modified end is quite permissible. We do not like the scheme using an added motif. Attached is a small sketch of your proposal for the head of the Beetle bolt which can be sent to them together with an approval of their making a sample front bumper. P.S.
