To EY. from HDY.{William Hardy} c: Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} E Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} De. FHC. Wraith Gearbox. With regard to the point raised by your G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Department about the clearance for the grinding wheel when grinding the splines on the front end of the 3rd motion shaft, rather than revert to the pressed on sleeve for the 3rd speed wheel, we suggest the modifications shewn by N. Sch.4206 herewith. We have diminished the distance between the teeth and the splines when in top gear. If there is any trouble from this we can revert to the pressed on sleeve. We have increased the base of the sliding pieces when in neutral. HDY.{William Hardy} Handwritten text: 628 GRY{Shadwell Grylls} | ||
