R.R. 403A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H. D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} -2- . EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. Expl. No. 9040 REF: HSS/LC1.S.S4. Magneto. This magneto is quite a well-made machine and it has an automatic advance suitable for the engine. Therefore it might be useful to use until we have developed a scheme of our own. The machine as arranged has 23° hand control - 30° automatic control. If we set it to fire 10° before the T.D.C. retard, it will suit the engine. The starting handle operates on a pin at the end of the crankshaft which only gives us two positions. Although this scheme works well on the 20 HP., with this big engine it would be very much better with 3 starts. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
