Dear Robotham,

Thank you for your letter dated 26th September.

I am glad to hear the 7.00-18 tyres are promising for noise; but am sorry you consider them slightly harder than the Dunlop at the same pressures. Perhaps you will remember when you first tried the Speed Special 5.50-18 for the Bentley you were also of the opinion they were slightly harder than Dunlop, but after further tests you wrote me on the 20th July, 1933 informing me that you had changed your opinion on that point; and I venture to hope that you will also change your opinion as regards the 7.00-18 tyres ?

I note you do not want me to come to Derby at present; but that you will be at the Motor Show in London on the 22nd and 23rd October. I should be very pleased indeed if you could lunch with me on either of those days. I expect Mr. Worth will be in London himself about that time, and we might get him to come and join us. Please let me know in due course which day would suit you best.

I look forward to hearing further from you on the subject of the 7.00-18 tyres.

There is, however, one point that occurred to me: I believe I am right in saying that the new chassis will be on your stand at Olympia ? No doubt the fitments of the chassis shown at the Motor Show will be exactly as it will in due course be delivered to the public who give you orders for a new car ? If this is so, I need hardly tell you again how anxious I am to see the new India tyre as Original Equipment, more especially as I assume/
