X5350 To G.W.Hancock. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/LG30.4.26. FAILURE OF 10-G-111 AXLE. X5350 It was quite a mistake that 10G111 went away with the thrust race in the rear axle. It should have had the New Departure type bearing similar to that which has run on 9-G-111. We hope that you will be able to devote you time to the Phantom steering complaints. You should demonstrate to Parsons the improvement you can make by alteration to the springs and if he is satisfied that there is a definite improvement we recommend that he should try it on a customers car which is complained of. We think it is possible, that we being critics may condemn the weaker springs because of the other faults which they bring up, but I believe the poor old customers who are getting hammered to death with the shocks from the steering wheel will welcome them.
