X1756 W/S. To H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/LG13.10.20. X.2915. RE WALTHAM SPEEDOMETER. X.1756. With reference to your request to fit a Waltham speedometer. We are running a Waltham speedometer on one of the experimental cars and find it to be silent, reliable and reasonably accurate. The point we do not like about the Waltham Speedometer is the fact that it is the moving scale type instead of the moving hand. Their representative who called at the works said that he hoped, before, long, they would have a Speedometer with a moving hand. We attach herewith a copy of letter we have received from them and recommend that you should get into touch with these people to fit a Speedometer onto one of your cars, We should be interested to hear the results.
