Dear Sirs,

As a result of our telephone conversation, we enclose herewith various prints of axles suitable for small cars.

We have marked in red pencil on each of these the maximum loading both from weight and torque point of view. It is however necessary to give the situation of each axle regarding delivery in two schemes, one being for experimental work, samples only, the other for production.

Print 3HA/001/3. This axle as shewn, is in being and stocks are available in England and at least samples could be supplied, if not bulk, but we daresay a good quantity could be procured from stocks in England but with all the items shewn, namely, the Spring pads, Brake brackets etc. If these were changed to anything else it would be necessary to get new supplies from America.

Print 2HA/001/1. This axle exactly as shewn is available in England with all the fittings shewn and samples could be obtained from stock and a quantity might be procured. still from stock to use in quantity. If changes are made and new axles have to be built up these would also come from America. Additionally we have quite a good stock of what might be called the differential assembly, that is, complete casing with all the gears and the bearings. These could fairly easily be arranged to take new fittings in the way of Spring pads, Brake brackets etc. and with suitable changes to the axle shaft and the axle sleeves. It would however be new work but as can be seen, it would not be a difficult proposition.

Print HA/001/6. There is only one of these in England and it is already in use but all the tools exist for making others, even samples, in the States but there is nothing we have towards making a sample or bulk.
