Item (17). Radiator Leaks.
We have nothing further to report other than considerable improvement in the soldering has been made by the works.

Item (18). Fan Pulleys.
The majority of cars fitted up with rivetted fan pulleys are giving trouble. A modification has been made and carried out fitting bolts instead of rivets. We have had no recurrent complaint after the modification has been carried out.

Item (19). Noisy Oil Pumps.
We have now a definite cure for all Phantom II noisy oil pumps. Depots have been supplied and instructed. Expl. work is being carried out in respect of Phantom I oil pumps.

Item (20). Engine Overoiling, Piston Knocks, Piston Seizures.
We have received a report from Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} stating that satisfactory results have been obtained with the pistons having longer skirts. We should before adopting these pistons for the R.H. chassis run them at least 15,000 miles in view of the number of complaints of piston knocks arising on Phantom II cars at an average of 10,000 miles. It must be noted that the tests Mx.{John H Maddocks - Chief Proving Officer} has carried out has been in conjunction with the extra oil which must have a predominating feature in lessening the knocks. America had the extra oil on P.I. & II.

Item (21). Dynamos.
The position of the dynamo remains the same as previously reported.

Item (22). Battery Box Suspension.
There has been no recurrent complaint of failure of the battery box suspension. All cars coming into Depots are being fitted with the strengthened bracket.

Item (23). Central Lubrication Failures.
We are getting several failures of the lubrication system. These are chiefly the brake actuating shaft bearings in the brake anchorage plate. We are increasing the bijur supply to try and overcome the failure.

Item (24). Carburetter troubles, Flooding, Air Valve Pin coming out and throttle sticking.
