X1588 25th August 1910. Mr. Johnson. Report on Havoline and Packard Engine Oils. Havoline. Tested on dynamometer. Distance run - 10 miles. Power at 1500 r.p.m. - Very good. Power at 2000 r.p.m. - Fairly good, Exhaust - Fairly clean. Engine - Very "free." Lack of carbon deposit - Fairly good. Rather better, all round, than our present standard oil. i.e. Prices "B", but has rather less body and lower viscosity, - although with regard to these two points the oil appears quite satisfactory. We will run an extended test with this oil. [Handwritten on left margin]: X/B-33 [Faint circular stamp in center]: ROLLS-ROYCE LTD | ||
