1263 Dr. Plumb in Orme's Office, is the authority on this pump. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/ML. 9.9.40. C.W.Nicholls,Esq., Messrs S.Smith & Sons,Ltd., Cricklewood Works, Edgeware Road, LONDON.N.W.2. Dear Nicholls, With reference to your query regarding the Dickenson pump, I find that this is a vane type pump whose peculiarity is that it can give over 100% volumetric efficiency at no head. It is used for either fuel or oil. So far, the only disadvantage which we have discovered is that it's delivery falls off rapidly with increase of depression on the suction side. Yours sincerely, | ||
