S/W. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} [Strikethrough: EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}] Copy to Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} +7770 LE9/H/16.10.29. Phantom II. Front Step Brackets [Stamp: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} RECEIVED] With reference to EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/Thn2/H/11.10.29. I note your remarks. I agree that where there is no [Strikethrough: any] side wheel carrier there certainly should not be any curved step bracket. It will be frequently the case that the Coachbuilder will require a flat front step bracket, or one which is bent slightly to suit splayed wings, as in the case of the car you noted in London the other day - 3 - WJ. Would it be possible for you to supply a bracket that the Coachbuilders could set themselves at any required position, to deal with any special splayed wings they may wish to make. J.L.E. | ||
