100 2 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/R.{Sir Henry Royce} 27th November, 1937. Dr. Alan R.{Sir Henry Royce} Laurie, 124, Osmaston Road, D E R B Y. Dear Dr. Laurie, re: Pattinson, Queen's Drive, Littleover. I saw Pattinson yesterday. He showed me one or two of his previous reports, from which it would appear that some bone formation is taking place. I should be very much indebted to you if you would be good enough to let me have your opinion on the following points:- (1) From what you know of the case at present what do you consider to be the shortest period in which Pattinson is likely to regain the use of his arm ? (2) In the event of bone formation ceasing, is there any alternative to amputation of the arm ? (3) Supposing that bone formation goes on as at present, when will it be possible for Pattinson to take up some light duties of a clerical nature at the Factory ? Yours sincerely, | ||
