X8060 +8940a We got Mr. Hancock to examine the tappet springs on 8-EX car which has just completed 10,000 miles running in France. He reports that there are no tappet springs broken. One or two show signs of rubbing against the sides. The tappet springs on this car will be similar to those fitted to production cars as the engine unit was obtained from the Works.
