x5003 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Les.30/KW. 12th October, 1934. The British Tyre & Rubber Co.Ltd., Leyland, Lancs. For the attention of Mr. Evans. Dear Sirs, We have now had a sample of the production 25 HP. rubbers through our inspection, and have received the following report - F.60398. The dimension .500" is minus .020". F.60399. Width .625" is minus .010" to .015" .875" " " .010" to .015" The bore is tapered, being .005" small at the top and .010" to .015" large at the bottom. F.60517. .815 dia. recess is minus .010" to .015" .4375 dia. hole is taper by .025". -------- The paint that you have put on the rubbers so far has been unsatisfactory. It appears to be the slowest drying paint possible. Actually the very first samples are not dry yet. We are hoping that our normal chassis paint will be satisfactory, in which case you will send the rubbers to us in their normal state. | ||
