Re. Bentley Supercharger.

Replying to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}11/E.29.4.35. We have now run the supercharger on the road.

All the work so far done on the Bentley supercharger has been with the object of providing design with information to incorporate a blower on the Bentley.

As fitted up on 3-B-1V at present it is simply a piece of experimental apparatus. In view of this fact, while it is available to be tried as a matter of interest, it is far from ready for any sort of extended test.

It is possible that after a few weeks' further development it may give results which we consider to be representative for a centrifugal blower on the Bentley, but having reached this stage a proper design would still have to be completed and manufactured before being submitted as something that could be sold.

We have been urging the large bore unit as being something within easy reach. We have had a power curve off this and it will be on the road next week.
